Qantas blames sackings on oil
THOUSANDS of nervous Qantas employees will spend the weekend not knowing if they'll have a job come Monday, after the airline vowed to cut 1500 staff loose next week.




Mac Radio downgrade forms friday's sign-off
JOHN Singleton's Macquarie Radio Network -- which includes Sydney's number one radio station 2GB -- has become the country's second media company to announce a major earnings downgrade, revealing its operating profit will be up to 20 per cent lower in 2008 than in 2007.
